These last few days my wife and I have taking our time working our way south by car to get the planned bike tour starting point in Southern California. Currently we are in Las Vegas and will continue south this morning to Cajon Junction, CA. From there, I will get a late afternoon start of the bike tour for a short but steep uphill climb to my first overnight camp location. The other day, I was able to squeeze in a short ride out of Beatty, NV. The ride provided a view of ghost town Rhyolite and some gravel road biking.

I love Death Valley and Rhyolite, on of my favorite spots to visit. Should have told you to do Titus Canyon while there.
